From the winter of 1997 when he took his French quartet to New York to record Jaywalker at the legendary Systems Two Brooklyn studio with sound engineer David Baker and his teacher Bruce Barth as an artistic director, until his most recent release BWA that he cosigned with Ralph Lavital, his musical partner since the early 2010’s, Laurent Coq has produced 15 albums under his name or in collaboration with major musicians of our time. HIs latest endeavor is a new trio album recorded with Yoni Zelnik on bass and Fred Pasqua. Confidences gathers new original material and will be released on jazz&people label in September 2024.
